Had a great stay at Serene Homestay. Byron Sir was kind to accomodate our requests and made us feel at home. The porridge he made for breakfast is unforgettable. If you happen to stay here, don't forget to buy a copy of his book Nongriat.

The location is right near the double decker root bridge. The staff here are really friendly and nice to deal with. The food is also amazing given the location. Highly recommended place to stay. This homestay can be used as a base point for the rainbow waterfall trek.

Though the room we rented for three people could have been provided with some more facility like shelves to keep things, hangers for clothes etc, I must say it was great considering the location. It was very clean and cosy, though. It provided us with a panoramic view of the hills from all sides and the soothing sound of the stream nearby. Mr. Biron and his team were very pleasant and hospitable and saw to our needs in the best way possible. He constantly inquired after our well being, especially after my friend developed some digestion issues. On the whole, the Nungriat experience was something very special.

It's a homestay located very near to double decker root bridge (hardly 2 mins walk). View from the homestay is great. You will get nice homely food during your stay. Don't expect a lot in terms of room amenities as you will be staying in very remote area but overall satisfactory rooms (considering remoteness of the place) for a one night stay near double decker root bridge. Recommended to stay here and enjoy beauty of nongriat.

It was amazing.. OMG 😲 after 1 hour of trekking we reached there and it was really nice to stay there..it was so thrilling to say inside a jungle where you can only hear 🙉 the music 🎶🎵 of nature..

Perfect place to stay in Nongriat. I highly recommend you stay at least a night at the Serene Homestay when you trek down to the Double Decker Root Bridge. We unexpectedly stayed for 2 nights as the place was beautiful, surrounded by lush green forest and the sound of the gushing waterfall. The rooms were clean, and equipped with mosquito nets. The best homestay in the area. The Double Decker Root Bridge is just a minute away from the stay, so you can go there and take a dip when the crowd gets a little less and enjoy a free fish pedicure. Bro. Biron and his team were warm, simple and very loving towards my entire family He ensured we had bread and eggs every morning for our breakfast.

This is a lovely homestay in a great location and the family running the homestay are friendly and helpful. The food is great and good value considering the location. We wish we could have stayed longer!!

If you plan to visit the Double decker bridge and the rainbow falls, it would be better to stay the night to rest and return to Tyrna the next morning. We stayed here back in November. Its a decent place with different price ranges for the …
